Yes. You don't need an account, and you can check up to 10 pages an hour.
What does the scanner check?
It opens one page in a real browser and runs the automated WCAG Level A and AA rules from axe-core, an open-source testing engine made by Deque. The results show each problem, examples from your page and how to fix it, with best-practice suggestions listed separately.
Does a good score mean my site is accessible?
No. Automated checks find some problems, not all of them. A high score doesn't mean a page is accessible or meets any law, and a low score doesn't mean it breaks one. Only testing with people and assistive technology can show that.
Will your widget fix what the scanner finds?
No. These problems are in your site's code, so they need fixing there. The widget gives visitors tools to adjust a page for themselves, which helps in a different way.
Do you keep what I scan?
We keep the address, the results and a picture of the page for 30 days, so your report link keeps working. Reports are hidden from search engines. Anyone you share the link with can see the report.
